About Us

Rising Road Travel specializes in listening. We want to hear you describe your perfect trip. Then we go to work turning your dreams into reality. 


We primarily work with clients in North  Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia but also serve customers outside this area.

Our Background

We are people who are well-versed in the fun and rigors of traveling. Our travel agency came together to help other people plan and book their vacations and explorations. We offer you the benefit of our industry education and personal travel experience.

Meet the Team

Karen Bullard

Karen has over 14 years experience in the leisure travel industry preceded by five years in a corporate travel environment. Travel is not just Karen’s vocation, it is also  her passion.  It is her daily goal to help her clients experience the world on a personal level and build memories that will last a lifetime.


Karen holds a number of industry certifications and destination specializations. 

Jim Bullard

Jim serves as marketing manager and adventure specialist for Rising Road Travel. He has visited all 50 states and 5 continents. Jim is a well rounded outdoorsman. His experience include almost 50 years as a scuba diver, hunting, fishing and other outdoor sports,
